Austell Gas System’s Budget Billing payment plan is available to all customers at the location gas service is provided and at a 12-month fixed payment amount.
Customers use large quantities of gas during the colder winter months for heating purposes and may find the Budget Billing payment plan to be helpful. This program is not a discount, nor does it lower the amount of the monthly bills.
The monthly payment will be a fixed amount each month and the program will provide a catch-up month for any accounts that have a balance at the end of the 12-month period. The catch-up and new budget payment calculation will be done each year on August 1st.
The plan will average the charges from the past months of service at the location gas service is provided to calculate the fixed monthly payment due each month. To enroll in the program the account must have a zero balance during the time of open enrollment period (April 1st and September 30th).
If you are removed from the plan due to the required payment not being made each month or by requesting to be removed, you will be responsible for the balance going forward. If removed, you will have to wait until the next open enrollment period (April 1st and September 30th) to re-enroll. The account must have a zero balance at time of re-enrollment. (Re-enrollment into the budget program is at the discretion of Austell Gas)
